![]() Luke 24:48 – You are my witnesses. A few days ago over England people were mystified to see a formation of UFOs. Twenty-six flying objects flew in formation, changed positions and then vanished. More than a hundred people were witnesses to the phenomena and the authorities had no answers. A witness is a person who has seen or experienced an event. The disciples saw Jesus, miracles and heard His teachings. They did not understand what they saw or heard but they testified to all of what they saw and heard. Understanding came only later after reflection and sharing with others. Jesus is real today. Each of us see and hear things which we can’t understand but we go on sharing those things hoping to understand. The power of God is at work in our midst. Some say the age of miracles has passed but those people do not see or hear the things we do; for there is no explanation except the power of God. You are witnesses. At every church service you hear and see God at work. God speaks in a hundred different ways every day. There are no coincidences with God. He protects, He teaches, He consoles, He brings joy. Our work in this life is to be the witnesses and to tell what God has done and what He is doing. God’s Wisdom: Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. Worldly Wisdom: Martin Luther King - Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
