| Impossible With Man But Possible With God | ||
![]() Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Science fiction is wonderful stuff. Men who imagine and dream things that escape most of us have a rare and wonderful gift. Were it not for such men many things we see and hear today would not exist. Jules Verne was one of the most imaginative people of his day. His books are read by schoolboys and grown men. Movie after movie has played the silver screen based on his stories and books. When men didn’t understand electricity or gasoline engines Verne imagined ships sailing under the sea. Flying machines, Verne dreamed of strange powerful weapons even invincible armored tanks. Men such as Verne, DaVinci, Corpurnicus, Bell and hundreds of others dreamed and the dreams became substance as other men such to answer the riddles to enable the dreams to become reality. Perhaps there is no limit to what men can and will invent. There is talk now of man being on the verge of creating life. It may happen but this I do know, only God can create a living soul. Marvel at your own hand. Turn the fingers deftly in a swirl of motion. Yes, it can be mimicked by man but the brain and soul to under control such a wonder is still God’s domain. "We are wonderfully made" so proclaims God’s word and we have to say "Amen". Al things are possible with God. This is our hope a soul that never dies, a life beyond this life, a heaven with a new body that never ages. Man in all of his glory lacks the power to create from nothing. God has only to speak and worlds are formed, life is given. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. One day we shall stand in His presence clothed in that new body. Until then let us marvel at God and His creations. Let us realize man’s impossibilities and God’s possibilities. God’s Wisdom: Psalm 23:7 For as he athinketh in his bheart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Worldly Wisdom: I found one day in school a boy of medium size ill-treating a smaller boy. I expostulated, but he replied 'The bigs hit me, so I hit the babies that's fair.' In these words he epitomized the history of the human race. »Bertrand Russell
