Jesus teaching in the temple. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12 There are those who believe the older you get the more stuff you forget. It is rather aggravating to forget what you went to the kitchen to get. Or to wonder how the tool you were working with ten seconds ago disappeared. Wives have funny memories. They can remember recipes for years even if they never use them. They can’t recall if they put soap in the washing machine. And of course they remember every slip of the tongue their husbands have ever made. Husbands on the other hand, barely remember their names – that is according to the wives. There is not a person alive who doesn’t have something they would like to forget. Like backing into a tree and denting the bumper of your new truck. Or, making a fool of yourself at a party. But, those kind of things aren't forgotten by you or anyone else. These are the things we live with the rest of our lives. There is no magic zapper to get rid of them. God says He knows every word, deed and thought of every person living or deceased. He will judge a person accordingly. Friends, that is a scary thought. The good news, however, is that God remembers our sins no more when we confess our sins, repent of them and accept Jesus is our Savior. There are no scales to balance. Because He first loved us and died for us we seek to live a pure and holy life. Ours has become a life of gratitude and love. God’s Wisdom: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Philippians 3:13 Worldly Wisdom: Reminiscences make one feel so deliciously aged and sad. George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) Irish writer.
