![]() Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. (1 John 3.18 NRSV) The best Monday mornings are those when you are on vacation. Waking up and smelling either a salt scented sea breeze or a pine scented mountain breeze can start the day off on a great note. If you choose you can roam the beach or the mountain or simply turn over and go back to sleep. Waking up on a Monday morning to hurry into your clothes, down a breakfast and fight the rush hour traffic is a bad beginning. Yet, it is life for so many. The weekend was too short to rest and too long as labor and recreation took its toll. Bleary-eyed and cranky your week is off and there is no time to savor the weekend just over. Remember being that little child waking on a summer morning with nothing to do but play? The day was filled with so many possibilities that you exploded out of bed. Life was an adventure with no downsides. Good mornings flowed from your lips with joy and happiness. There was no need to cover or lie about anything. Life was great and amazing. Today is Monday – How’s it going? Take a moment and be one of Jesus’ "little children". Embrace life and love others honestly. Enjoy your life. God’s Wisdom: He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matt. 10:39 Worldly Wisdom: Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it's when you've had everything to do, and you've done it. Margaret Thatcher
