Much Grace

With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. Acts 4:33

Leon Whitley is an old-fashioned preacher/pastor in Wingate, NC. He said, "Leading a person to know Jesus as Savior and Lord is the greatest accomplishment in life." Perhaps you agree with him or it could be you have never given thought to leading a person to accept Jesus. There are Christians who never influence one single person in the course of their lives to know Jesus not even their own children.

It is a wonderful and blessed moment for a parent to watch their child confess Jesus and to be baptized. It is even more thrilling to share the truth of God with a stranger and them to accept that truth. When one person leads another to Jesus it is said that they are never closer to Heaven. That’s what the verse means by "much grace was upon them all".

The disciples were thrown in jail and they witnessed to the prisoners as well as their jailers. Many accepted Jesus. They believed so strongly that it was said of them that they "turned the world upside down." They risked their lives and gave their lives to tell others about Jesus. Hundreds of thousands since have followed their example. Without them there would not be a church.

Jesus said, "Be of good courage." He bid us to go into the world, to go among men, to tell them about God’s great love and how that He, Jesus, laid down His life that those who hear might live. Let us not be afraid or so busy with our lives that we neglect telling others.

"Much grace with upon them." Let this grace be upon you as you bear witness to the truth you have received.
