Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26

What was the biggest news story of your life so far? Think on it for a moment – what was the biggest news story so far in your life. Was it an airplane crash, a walk on the moon, the shuttle disaster, the tearing down of the Berlin wall, the election of Obama or was it the terror attacks on the United States? Oh, you know when passenger planes hit the world trade center towers and thousands of people died.

The longer you live the more events occur, some major - some minor. Some are easily forgotten and swept under the rug of history. There are those who would say the assassination of John Kennedy was the biggest news story of the century but others would say it was the assassination of ML King. Still others would look back and say the death of Hitler was the biggest event.

How about the biggest event in the history of the world, what was it? Simple – the resurrection of Jesus. This one event effects the life of every person to ever be born on the planet. He said, "Because I live you will also live." "Believe this?"

Because Jesus lives no matter what happens to you today, if you believe in Him, it is a trivial matter. It may seem if what has occurred is the worst possible thing possible in your life or it may seem to be the greatest possible event in your life but either way it pales with the day you said, "I believe!" Because the day you said "I Believe" you gained eternal life to live in the presence of God for eternity. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
