No - Never Alone

For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city." Acts 18:10

Genealogy is fascinating to many people. They seem to love the hunt to find obscure relatives from a past they did not know existed. To them it is thrilling to learn they are related to the famous, the rich and the infamous. Digging through old records is fun for them much as the man searching for treasure with a metal detector on the beach thinks that is fun. As they say, each to his own.

Acts 18:10 is an obscure verse most people don’t know exists in the Bible. Jesus speaks these words to Paul in a dream. Reassured of his safety, Paul labors in the city of Corinth for over a year.

I am with you – no one is going to hurt you – my people will see no harm comes to you.

An email crossed my screen about a woman climbing a mountain. Halfway up she lost her contact lens. When she came down from the mountain a fellow asked if anyone had lost a lens. Imagine that! The lens fell down the mountainside and was found! The really odd part was the man found it because an ant was carrying it. A caption to the story has the ant saying, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will."

Paul labored for the Lord in a place he didn’t feel safe. Jesus assured him that what he was doing was important and because it was important Paul needed not to worry.

Some days we wonder why we are carrying the load we carry and are fearful but we need to remember, "I have many people". God has His people working for us and protecting us. We are not alone. You are not alone today.
